In 1994, Jeff Starr and Matt
O'Neill were selected to be part
of the public art program for
Denver's new ballpark, Coors
Field. It stretches 10' x
100' and is installed along a
curved inside wall on the north
side of the stadium.
The triptych lithographs,
nicknamed "The West," "The
Worker," and "The Ballfield" are
the beginning, middle and end
sections for the stadium mural.
These lithographs were created
traditionally from the artists'
drawings on Bavarian limestone.
An edition of 75 prints was
created, but only a few prints
remain available. Each
print is chopped with the
stadium seal, the Open Press
logo and master printer Margaret
Robb's logo. The triptych
is published by Joshua Hassel
and Open Press Ltd. with
permission from the Denver Metro
Stadium District. |
